ER + GP Veterinarian

A 24/7 emergency + general practice hospital, the only ER in its region

Eastern Shore, Maryland Emergency + general practice hybrid Full-time$110k+/yr
TN visa sponsorshipStructured mentorship program (6-12 months)Health insurance fully covered + $3,000 CELarge Spanish-speaking community

A high-volume 24/7 emergency and general practice hospital on Maryland's Eastern Shore is hiring veterinarians through VetBridge. It is the only emergency hospital within a three-hour radius, with a staff of roughly 78, a deep technician bench, and a caseload that spans ER, general practice, and a steady stream of exotics.

New doctors join a structured mentorship program (six months to a year) with a written curriculum, so you are never put on ER shifts alone. Compensation starts at $110,000 during mentorship and moves to production-based earnings once you complete it. Benefits include fully covered health insurance with an upgrade stipend, 100 hours of PTO, and a $3,000 annual CE allowance.

The surrounding community has a large Spanish-speaking population, so bilingual doctors are especially valued here. VetBridge coordinates the TN visa (through independent immigration attorneys), Maryland licensing, and the move, at no cost to the veterinarian.

What you'll do

  • Work ER shifts paired with experienced doctors, alongside a general-practice caseload
  • Treat a varied caseload that includes a steady stream of exotics
  • Progress through a written mentorship curriculum with regular check-ins
  • Partner with a deep technician team that keeps doctors doctoring

What we're looking for

  • DVM from an AVMA-accredited school (includes all Canadian schools and UNAM 2011-2025 graduates), or ECFVG/PAVE certification in progress
  • NAVLE passed, or ready to sit for it
  • TN-eligible: Mexican or Canadian citizenship
  • ER experience welcome but not required (the mentorship program builds it); Spanish is a strong plus
