Small Animal Associate Veterinarian
A privately owned, 3-doctor companion animal hospital
An established, independently owned small animal hospital in New York's Hudson Valley is hiring an associate veterinarian. This is a full-time, doctor-track role in a collaborative three-doctor practice with a stable support-staff team and a loyal client base.
New York is one of the friendliest states for internationally trained veterinarians: a limited permit lets a qualified international DVM begin practicing under supervision while completing full state licensure, so you can start seeing patients sooner rather than waiting on paperwork.
VetBridge USA coordinates the TN visa (through independent immigration attorneys), state licensing, and the move. There is no cost to the veterinarian.
What you'll do
- Deliver routine and preventive care, diagnostics, and soft-tissue surgery for companion animals
- Develop treatment plans and communicate them clearly to pet owners
- Collaborate with two other doctors and a full technician team
- Maintain accurate medical records
What we're looking for
- DVM from an AVMA-accredited school (includes all Canadian schools and UNAM 2011–2025 graduates), or ECFVG/PAVE certification in progress
- NAVLE passed, or ready to sit for it
- Eligible for TN status: Mexican or Canadian citizenship
- Strong small animal clinical fundamentals and client communication
